Bobcat Toolcat 5600

Specifications & technical data data for the Bobcat Toolcat 5600 work machine can be found on this page. Tier 4 compliant Bobcat Toolcat 5600 utility work machines incorporate an engine solution without a diesel particulate filter. These machines also feature a traction control system designed to provide operators with better mobility when ground conditions favor loss of traction, or when machine wheels encounter obstacles, such as rocks or debris.

The 61 horsepower Bobcat Toolcat 5600 utility work machines are compatible with more than 40 approved front attachments for dozens of jobs, from removing snow to sweeping to installing fences.

The 5600 can carry 2,000 pounds of tools, materials and supplies in the 17 cubic foot cargo box. The towing capacity of both machines is 4,000 lbs. and the travel speed can reach 17 mph.

With the push of a button, Toolcat utility work machine operators can switch to four-wheel steer mode. The four steer axles offer a tighter turning radius than for working in tight areas.

Bobcat’s Tier 4 solution without DPF was achieved by designing an Ultra Low Particulate Combustion Engine (ULPC). ULPC is achieved by a specially designed engine combustion chamber that significantly reduces the amounts of particulate matter created during combustion. Therefore, Tier 4 emissions compliance can be achieved without using a DPF.

In addition, the new Toolcat Tier 4 machines have a machine protection system that monitors, manages and shuts down the engine if necessary. This system monitors engine oil and coolant temperatures and manages engine systems to reduce the possibility of these fluids reaching a point where the machine will need to shut down. This minimizes potential engine damage, stops unnecessary engine wear, and keeps operators working.

Another new feature of Tier 4 engines on 5600 Utility Work Machines is protection from cold. As long as the engine temperature is 14 degrees Fahrenheit or below, the loader will temporarily limit the maximum engine speed (rpm) to prevent premature component wear or failure. The engine idle speed is also raised slightly to help the engine reach operating temperature more quickly. As soon as the motor warms up to a predetermined temperature, the protection mechanism is deactivated.
