Raw Vegan Walnut Brownies

How about some brownies for today?

Believe me, these delicious raw walnut brownies will make your day. And not only that, when you have your friends over for coffee, they make for the perfect little snack.

The best thing is how easy and quick it is to prepare them. No baking, no fancy equipment or ingredients…all you need is a food processor or a blender (working with a blender is a little more difficult here).

The coconut flakes add this exotic touch and blend in perfectly with the sweetness from the dates and the overall chocolate flavor.

I’d recommend cutting them in small squares, but you can choose whatever size you like.

They might also be a nice treat for a Sunday brunch or dessert after a great dinner.

Try this raw vegan walnut brownies that only take a few simple ingredients and are super delicious.

  • For the brownies
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • For the topping
  • 1 bar(80g) dark vegan chocolate (85+)

Mix all of the ingredients in a food processor. Blend well until you reach one sticky dough. You might have to scrape down the sides and blend again.

Press into a rectangular baking form, even the surface out.

Bring a pot to low heat, add the chocolate bar and warm up until just melted.

Pour over the brownie, even out by moving the form.

Place in your refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours to solidify.

For serving, cut into small squares.

A food processor works best for this recipe.
